The band Whooz Playin' entertained around the area for 10 years - from 1988-1998. The band and members of the band have played in front of national acts such as: Sawyer Brown, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Pam Tillis, Clint Black, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Pirates of the Mississippi, Lionel Cartright, Skip Ewing, Dan Seals, Wildrose, and Bailey and the Boys. They developed a great fan following at many clubs; entertained at weddings, fairs, casinos and rodeos; and became known as the Regional Coors Light Live Band. Original band members were Dave Lyon (vocals & guitar), Scott Lysne (vocals & bass), Stephanie Effertz(vocals), Dave Weidler(drums), Rick Waswick(lead guitar), and Rick Lyon (soundman). Through the years there were several changes in membership and, with each change, something new was added to the band. Curt Kittelson was the first member change, replacing Stephanie on vocals, adding keyboards to the band, and delivering a great stage presence. (Can anybody say Wooooooh?!!) Travis Houser was next in line, taking over on the bass when Scott moved East. Travis brought a lot of energy (and dance moves) to the band as well as the ability to play an excellent Tenor Saxophone. Continued....
